(It is set off to the bathing area of the Weyr. It's been put off as a special lesson, for those that Innaria has chosen. It's a lesson supposedly to create union in a unit meant to be more effective against Acid. That's the cover.
If you wish to have a character as part of this, just join this thread.)
Innaria had spent her sweet time working on this. Gathering in secret, all of those that were opposed to the ruling of the Weyrwoman. Though she was the Jr.Weyrwoman, she knew that what Valoryn had decreed, was wrong. It was wrong to send away viable and threadfighting dragons, simply because they were different. That would be like ordering that HAD candidate Angel, away from the Weyr. Though that was ok, because it was a previously known genetic anomally in humans.
That was ok, and that mere thought angered Innaria to no end. Her brother Inixia was her spy in Skysong, He had told her about the clutch, with three queen eggs. Her own Queen had yet to rise her maiden flight. It was odd, but not unheard of. Lyeoth was taking her own sweet time. Which was well known to be a trait of golds. They did things in their time, not others. Innaria had been busy working on ways to keep the meetings of the rebellion - a complete secret from Valoryn.
She felt no remorse for treating the woman, or the rest of Fort the way she was. Because segregation due to mutations, was just as bad as segregation due to hair color. Or skin color, or eye color. It was wrong. So thusly she had gathered Riders to her, and candidates. Those that wanted to leave Fort. Three nights hence the plan could be executed. She had been gathering people for months. Almost a full turn, which was interesting to say in the least.
She had gathered older riders as well, and many people. From her own Weyrling class, and from all over. Crafters of the weyr, many had gone in with this. More particularly C'rey had been a great help to her. The bronze rider was a bit standoffish, but he didn't believe in what had happened. His dragon had slipped up to Lyeoth once. All of those that are chosen, please come to the designated meeting spot. Dragons keep this quiet. We are not to be known. Lyeoth spoke to all dragons that knew of the mind path that they had created. Just for this purpose, they had worked on being a unit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Harper Candidate had been prepared for this. Coming to this Weyr had been nothing but something akin to being left out in thread. So she had easily fallen in with Innaria's plans. Sh ehad been invaulable in finding the ones that were truthful. She had been kept on constant guard over the last turn. Listening in on all but the most private conversations, between Dragons and Riders. This had been because she was the only one that could do it.
There was a suspicion that there was a rebellion, but in reality no one really knew. The young woman approached the meeting area, Lyeoth's voice cutting into her mind. She approached the meeting area, and bowed to the goldrider. She straightened and looked around. She kept her mind open to hear the arrival of dragons and those they brought with them. Her eyes closed as she sighed and braced her hands before her.
Her green firelizard popped from between, creeilng to her and curling up on her lap. She looked up at the sky and sighed. Soon she would be in a much more open Weyr.

Lind had heard about the lesson tonight the Junior Weyrwoman had sent word around to a few select riders. Well that was her cover to get off Watchrider duty tonight, that she was going to hear what Junior Weyrwoman Innaria had to say about defenses against Acid. In reality what she was doing was attending the group who were against the ways the Weyrwoman did things and opposed the banishment of the mutants to Skysong Weyr. Lindora had been disappointed that the rest of the clutch had not been banished with the newly colored dragons. Did the Weyrwoman somehow think she could reverse the mutation in the old colors? Was that why they had been allowed to stay around. The young Brownrider and didn’t want to know or find out. Reylith was just fine the way he was.
Jewel, her green firelizard popped from between and settled herself on Lind’s shoulders, wrapping her tail around the woman’s neck, crooning as the woman scratched her in between her wings. It is time to go. Reylith informed his rider. With a sigh Lindora got up and glanced around her weyr real quick. She wouldn’t miss this place, but despite her dislike of living here the weyr would still hold some fond memories of being here, such as the first time she slept on the stone couch curled up to Reylith.
Heading down to the bathe area, Lind was pleased to discover that she didn’t run into anyone. Walking into the bathing area she greeted both the goldrider and candidate with a friendly smile. “I’ve come for the lesson, Junior Weyrwoman.” She then stood off to one side of the room, as she waited for the others. ”Ready Reylith?” Lind, asked the brown hoping he was in position. I am ready. He replied where he was standing on at the position they had planned for him to be at. Greetings Lyeoth, we are here and ready. He added a moment later, as he turned to look at the gold dragon.

C'rey had heard about the "lesson" early on. At first, he had been upset with Ozinth for being so candid with Lyeoth, but he wasn't surprised. The bronze certainly knew of his...fondness for the Junior Weyrwoman, and it wasn't like a bronze could refuse to answer when a Queen asked questions.
He waited until after his Wing training was over and all the Wingriders had been dismissed before going to the meeting. C'rey is coming, Ozinth assured Lyeoth as the bronzerider walked to the intended meeting spot.
C'rey strode up the others and bowed stiffly to Innaria. "Good day, Junior Weyrwoman," he greeted her simply, nodding a greeting at the others present.

"For those that have arrived, thank you. Others will hopefully be arriving. I need to get this put forward now. Before things go to far. I have a bad feeling that the Weyrwoman plans on attacking the eggs on Skysongs Sands. I have heard there is three queen eggs." She said gently as she looked at the three present. There would be others later, they could be a bit late, that she understood quite well. "Everyone, this is Angelischiel, she's going to help us immensely in the matter of knowing what is going on. She's a HAD." She said as she looked at the girl.
"She has been in use of the Weyr for about two turns, or around there. She was here for awhile, and has heard and seen a lot. She can tell which dragons side with us, and which riders are against us. She can hear all but the most private of conversations, those shared by Rider and Dragon." She said lightly as she looked at the quiet Harper Girl. "We will be making our move soon, but there is a large chance we have a spy in our ranks."
She stated this in a sad tone. "This could be a Crafter, or a DragonRider that got past our spies. But we are not alone, and I know this from how the Watchdragons have been stationed lately. I have been informed by people, that Valoryn may be leading an assault against Skysongs Eggs. We will use that time to gather everyone that wants to flee, and flee." She whispered softly.
"Segregation, by Mutation. Is not right. We ourselves are all mutated. Human and Dragon Pair alike. It's natural for us to be scared of what we dont' understand. But I believe Skysong will be beneficial to the life of the Planet. Why? Because if we can produce dragons that can fight differently, and better. It means we can finally beat thread. At least in this lifetime."

The old grizzled Bronzerider had gotten wind of this so called “lesson” that the Junior Weyrwoman was holding down in the bathing area, which was a strange place to have a lesson. Z’rey had been informed that something was up from one of the Watchriders and decided to go down and check it out. He might be old but he was still fit and capable and began walking down the lower caverns into the bathing area. Z’rey entered just in time to hear what the Junior Weyrwoman had said. Instantly he felt a surge of alarm pass through his body as he realized what was going to happen. They were going to spoil the Weyrwoman’s plans. They were traitors to Fort Weyr and he had to stop them! All he had on him was his knife that most riders carried. Z’rey didn’t believe in harming other riders but he would protect his Weyr, and by force if necessary. He had always disagreed with the Weyrwoman’s decision to keep the original colors here if they were mutant, and now they were turning their backs on her after she had shown them pity. So this was their true colors. Z’rey entered the room, nodding politely to the Weyrwoman, trying to mask his feelings. He had not heard the part about the young candidate being able to speak to other dragons and reached out to his Bronze. ”Be alert, Yarith. The Weyrwoman has enemies.” He felt the old Bronze awaken from his deep slumber and knew the dragon would come to his aid when called.

K'tar. Something is wrong.
Halleth's normally serenely green eyes turned to yellow-orange as he called his rider's attention to the gathering. The brown and the young man had been tapped to replace another brownrider who had dropped out of Watchdragon duties. Something about a special lesson... The two were just on routine patrol, when Halleth expressed an interest in making a small detour. Just to see the 'special lesson' happen, and all... If Innaria and her Lyeoth really had some fancy new Acid-fighting tactic, she ought to share it with the whole Weyr, shouldn't she? K'tar and Halleth were both curious to see this special unit in action.
But as they approached the gathering, it became clear that this wasn't a normal lesson. There was that odd Harper girl, the Candidate... She was standing with the Junior Weyrwoman, and a bunch of the riders from that mutant clutch who'd been permitted to remain. But Halleth was restless, and as they drew closer, he caught faint, strange words. Segregation, mutation, not right...
At K'tar's urging, Halleth slipped in closer, the brownrider keeping his expression friendly and neutral. "I'm sorry, I know I'm not supposed to be here... But I heard some rumors and I wanted to see if I could join in." If they really were plotting something, he'd know soon enough. And then he could alert the whole weyr that the traitorous mutants were planning something -- whether desertion, or an outright attack in the Senior Weyrwoman's temporary absence.

R'let, with jade Imp, and Blue Ionth Candidate Anka It is time, Ionth informed R'let, lifting his wedged shaped head and slowly moving toward the edge of their private ledge. What about Anka? R'let asked suddenly, causing Ionth's head to snap around and regard his Rider with one swirling orb. There was no other emotion but concern. His Rider's blood would not last much long in hiding at this Weyr. The Queen and Her's would spot her power soon, and theirs, thus there was no point in leaving her behind. She must come with us of her own free will, Mine, the large Blue stated as he lowered one of his many eye lids in a motion almost human-like. Nodding, R'let scooped up Imp, causing the young jade flitter to chirp at him angrily. "Hush," he hissed, rather uncomfortably stuffing Imp into his riding leathers, barely allowing the jade to get comfortable before vaulting to Ionth's neck and securing himself. We'll find Anka first, then head to the meeting. Hopefully, we won't be to late, the young Bluerider sent as Ionth took to the skies, circling, keeping an eye for Anka. Yet, as R'let and Ionth circled the Weyr, Anka was already moving toward the public bathing area. She had heard Lyeoth's mental message. Of course, as soon as she had heard it, she had nearly had a panic attack, not really knowing where the voice had come from. She knew nothing of any plans, no idea where any meeting place was, but she was determined to find it. Even if she had to run around the entire Weyr to find; hoping that if candidates were invited, the meeting wouldn't be away from the Weyr. She had grabbed just what she needed, the clothes on her back, a meatroll she had been snacking on while cleaning up her barracks, and ran. As she ran from the barracks, she heard a rustling of wings and looked up, finding a Blue landing nearly on top of her. She screamed, ducked, rolled, and came to rest on her haunches right beside Ionth's claws. "R'let!" Anka called in heated words toward her half-brother. She couldn't talk right now. She really needed to go. Yet, all she heard, was R'let's smooth voice, ordering her to get on Ionth. Even the Blue was nudging her toward his neck and R'let. She couldn't say no, she couldn't fight her half-brother when he only took this tone when it was important. So, finally, giving up on a chance at freedom and a new life, Anka went with the Bluerider. As soon as Anka was on, Ionth launched himself into the air and flared open his wings. The lift up into the air was rocky, something that wasn't normal about Ionth. Anka had ridden Ionth once or twice before, always with R'let, but the Blue took great pleasure in keeping himself looking nice, even in flight. In the air, she could feel Imp's little claws walking up her back as he wiggled himself from his warm spot in R'let's leathers and curled his tail around Anka's upper bicep. Within a matter of moments, Ionth was landing again, this time within the Weyr Bowl. "Slid off, Anka. Trust me," R'let stated, pulling Imp from his leathers and placing him on Anka's shoulder. The little jade was fond of his half-sister, but when Rukbat set, Imp knew who he belonged with. She slid down Ionth, nearly falling to her butt once her feet hit the ground and her body came down after them, but Ionth's head was there, ready to catch her. Move away so R'let can follow, Ionth nudged her, Anka nearlly starting with hearing the Blue's voice. It was rare that he actually spoke to her. R'let climbed/jumped down from Ionth's neck, causing Imp to flutter and disattach himself from Anka and wing his way to the crook of R'let's arm, which the Rider happily held the jade. "Come on," R'let stated, while Ionth walked the short distance to the bathing area. Greetings, beautiful Lyeoth, Ionth greeted as he came into veiw of the other dragons; R'let and Anka moved under him, though R'let stepped forward, whereas Anka stayed hidden under his bulk. "Greetings Innaria. Blue Ionth and I have brought someone that would like to join us," he started off, seeing as this was the first time Anka had joined the preparations for the Rebellion. That . . . and he really couldn't think of anything else to explain Anka's sudden appearance. Above him, R'let could hear Ionth greeting the other dragons and he nodded to each Rider in turn.[/blockquote]

Innaria smiled at the arrival of more riders. She was more trusting then Valoryn was, but she was still careful. "Thank you for all that have arrived. I am glad to have your help. We will be leaving the day that the Riders go to Skysong. I have heard word the Valoryn will be launching an assault on Skysongs eggs." She stated in a firm tone, her eyes lit up with anger as she gripped the edges of her sleeves. She wasn't going to allow children to be killed, but she had to make sure her group was gotten out safely.
"Three days hence, we will be leaving. When we do, we will probably have to fight for our freedom. No matter what, you go to the image Lyeoth puts in your mind. Even if we do not follow. The freedom of people is more important then anything in the world. You all will get to Skysong and Freedom, even if I have to trade myself for it. If our mutations were known, we'd all be in trouble." She whispered softly to the group.
They needed all the help they could get. "We will leave at dinner time three nights from now."

C'rey watched as other riders entered, making a mental note of who was on their "team." He could only hope that everyone was sincere and there were no spies among them. He returned R'let's greeting with a nod of his own, and he looked over the candidate curiously. The girl was brave to join the Rebellion.
After Innaria's speech, he stepped forward and bowed. "Rest assured that I will follow you no matter what direction this mission takes, Junior Weyrwoman."
Stepping back again, he addressed the other riders. "If any of you miss the coordinates, Ozinth and I have...skill in finding people, so just let us know and we can guide you to the Weyr."
