Okay, so I'm still very lost in all that's going on here. It's especially difficult reading the announcements and plotstuffs while reading the general information. There seems to be someone from space? I have no idea where I got that idea, but I seemed to take it from the stuff. The history is a very basic holders overthrowing dragonriders during a lull in Thread, though it gets interesting when there is a second "green" star and "acid" falling, which generates new colors and special abilities in dragons. But that's as far as the history goes. Can anyone help me jump the rest of the way? Some people have powers? Is this also from the green stuffs? Um...anything else I should know? Thanks

The person from space is spaceman - another player.
The Green Star generates Acid, which causes a high fever which may kill the person, or it may mutate them. Fort attacked Skysong's clutch before it hatched, then two riders attacked during the Hatching. This batch of weyrlings is going to be traumatized. Um...anything else?

Hi, I'm Space. XD
And yes, the Green Star causes Acid to fall. Acid causes severe mutations in humans who are exposed to it. Queen dragons exposed to Acid also give birth to mutated dragonets, which is where the new colors come from.
In regards to current plot: Fort Weyr's Weyrwoman, Valoryn (played by me) decided that the mutants were too dangerous and were threatening to upset the sociopolitical balance of Pern. So she sent them off to Skysong Weyr, which is in the Southern continent. Skysong is led by Weyrwoman Asmyra of Amethyst Queen Zarinth (played by Kyla) and Weyrleader J'no of Crimson Anmedlath (played by Astarte).
However, recently a group of Fort Weyr rebels escaped to Skysong to defy Valoryn. They succeeded, but their leader, Fort's Jr. Weyrwoman Innaria, didn't make it, and is still at Fort.
At the same time, Valoryn and a group of other anti-mutant Fort riders tried to destroy the clutch on the sands at Skysong, due to it containing three Queen eggs. This didn't work very well, but a few dragons were killed or damaged.
That basically covers current events. Anything else? :3

The history is going to be updated up to current status after the hatching but so far it seems everyone has covered pretty much everything except a few things.
Right now like Ayla and Spaceman have covered it so far
Basically right now the hatching is being attacked by a rider from Fort and a spy from Fort who has been with Skysong since the moved to Southern and some of the Fort rebels that came to Skysong don't like the "justice" Skysong is dishing out by killing the Fort rider's dragon(well attempting too).

No problem, Kyla. I just didn't want Int to get confused.
btw, Int, did we answer all your questions?

Lol, you did answer all of my questions wonderfully! So, no one is from space XD At least not in Pern's recent history anyways. Mutations or death are caused by falling acid, all that fun stuff. What kind of mutations? Obviously nothing too all-powerful, but can always add fun stuff to the character. Is it also possible to survive the acid without mutating? Because that would be an interesting character to, to go through the whole ordeal and have nothing fun and eventful to show for it...other than, you know, living.
I shall work on some characters methinks! Any particular place that is requiring some extra people? And are there any sexes, genders, orientations that are a bit underrepresented that I should make?
((Also, sorry for the slow response, had a busier day than expected yesterday!))

You can survive Acid without any mutations, something all people go through when first hit by it is they usually get sick, then they die, become mutated, or have scars but don't have any powers, or they have scars and powers.
Mutations can be physical such as Maria's(played by Rin) color changing eyes, my character Asmyra can sense other's feelings, we Faerie has a character who can control fire. Basically anything goes as long as you limit it. For example we have a candidate that can cause bad luck, but its only minor things like dice rolling a certain way. He can't make someone standing under a loose boulder get smashed.
Fort Weyr is pretty empty. They are older riders who are agianst the mutations in humans and dragons. Their dragons are non mutated for the most part, a few might be if they were rebels who got caught trying to escape or their dragons where hit by Acid during a Fall, but they are disgusted about having the abilites.
We need more Fort riders for sure who are loyal to the Weyrwoman.
Skysong Weyr is having their hatching right now. They rebelled agianst Fort, most of the people have mutations and most of the dragons are mutated except for a few riders who transfered with them from Fort when they were banished. So if you want a weyrling thats the place to go. We also need some more mature dragon riders at Skysong.
Ista Weyr is closed for the moment, but will be open within a week or two. There is going to be a new plot surrounding it. Once that is open you can join there as well.

So, it sounds like so far I should make: Fort Rider, older, non-mutated. Skysong Rider, adult, matured dragon. Skysong Candidate - doesn't matter if they Impress now or later, that's all fine by me.
And then maybe make more later for Ista whenever it is developed and opened?
Any other suggestions for these characters? Sexes for the different Weyrs? Colors of dragons needed in particular?

Don't have preferences really characters at the moment. The only thing I can think of is there arn't any mature Iridescent riders at Skysong and there is only one Crimson and one Silver rider who are mature. At Fort Bronze, Brown, Green, and Blue all work which ever you like.
When Ista opens you can make a character there if you like or have a current character transfer there, depending on their stance on the whole mutation thing.

If you want to make an adult Skysong rider, they'd either be one from this clutch: here! or a transfer from Fort in one of the original five colors... At least, as far as I know.

I'm working on an Iridescent rider from that first clutch, but I would like to know at what age do they mature and how often they fly?
